Plague Mask Print

While anatomical illustrations are usually the side of my medical interest that get shown. I also really love medical history. The Bubonic Plague was the birth of this style of plague mask usually paired with a long cloak, a stick to poke the sick to examine & gloves. It was used as a respirator by stuffing good smelling herbs (they believed good smelling herbs meant clean & healthy which isn’t entirely wrong) into the beak to filter the ill air.
